This airy semicircle in two sizes (petite/tall), is begun on a provisional cast on and worked from center back neck to hem in a series of patterns that progresses from solid to more open and lacy. Trellis, vine, and leaf motifs tell the story of the vineyard as harvest time nears, forming a fabric that invites the autumn light to filter through. Complex to the eye, the lace is actually quite simple and entertaining to work. The final result is a stunning composition that offers a warm and beautiful layer on cool fall days.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and drape.
