This product is a knitting pattern that provides only the instructions to create the item—it does not include a finished garment. Please read the full description. The pattern may include additional instructions for design variations.
Inspired by the Autumn Wine Festival in France, this A-line coat or jacket to knit in 8 sizes (S/M/L/1X/2X/3X/4X/5X) and two lengths that features dramatically twining vertical cables at side seams and along front openings, with a wide, ribbed collar that converts to a cowl when the wind blows cold. Worked in one piece to the underarm with a tailored fit in the shoulders, this garment knits up quickly in lofty worsted or chunky weight yarn to provide a cocoon of warmth for late fall and winter weather.
Shown here in Targhee Tango Worsted (short version) in the shade Argentine, Kent Worsted (medium version), color Mussel Shell and Chebris Worsted (long version) color Frappé
Suggested Yarns:
Bare Naked Wools Targhee Tango Worsted, Better Breakfast Worsted, Confection Worsted, Kent Worsted, or any bulky, soft yarn that knits to pattern gauge. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and drape.
