As the days of autumn slowly shift to winter and the air grows crisp, there is a magic that is hard to define. Verdant nature is returning to a dormant state and yet the world is no less beautiful. Frost, snow, and ice remind us that there is beauty in change and value in rest. Starfrost Slippers were designed with this in mind, and I hope that you find them beautiful and comforting in restful times.
Starfrost Slippers are knit in the round from heel to toe. Scrap yarn is used to enable continuous knitting, and then removed to provide the opening for the ankle gap. Stitches are then picked up on either side of the gap to knit the ankle and cuff. These slippers are a classic unisex Scandinavian style that are quick to knit and lovely to wear.
Sample is shown in Bare Naked Wools Better Breakfast Worsted in Muesli (CC Taupe) and Sugarfrost (BC Natural).
