Spellcaster

A circular yoke pullover in 12 sizes (XXS to L) and [1X to 7X] to work in the round from neck to hem—completely seamless! The yoke features a wide neck encircled by a dramatic openwork mandala with gorgeous depth and definition; parts of the pattern are repeated at the sleeve and body hems with relaxing stockinette stitch in between. A bit of short row shaping ensures the top hangs straight, with a comfortable fit through the back, shoulders, and neck. Instructions include two sleeve lengths; body length is easily altered.

Gauge:
26 sts and 42 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette stitch on largest needles (knit flat, washed, and air-dried)
24 sts and 44 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in yoke/hem pattern on middle-size needles (knit flat, washed, and air-dried)

Needles:
size 4US (3.5 mm) circular needles and DPNs for body and sleeves (or size to obtain correct stockinette gauge)
size 3US (3.25 mm) circular needles and DPNs for openwork yoke and hem sections (or .25 mm smaller than gauge needle)
size 2US (2.75 mm) circular needles and DPNs for neck, sleeve, and hem ribbing (or .75 mm smaller than gauge needle)
Note: more than one length of each needle size will be required; two circulars may be substituted for use of DPNs
