This product is a knitting pattern that provides only the instructions to create the item—it does not include a finished garment. Please read the full description. The pattern may include additional instructions for design variations.
This pretty asymmetrical crescent shawl in two sizes (petite/tall) begins at the hem with a combination of wavy motifs to show off a self-striping or gradient yarn. The body is worked in a series of short row sections with inserts of eyelet to emulate the water’s surface as it laps against the shore. A foamy edging trims the longer side so that the piece will show a variety of frills when worn at any angle. The stitch patterns throughout are very easy to work, lulling the knitter into a gentle working rhythm; a great project for both experienced knitters and those new to lace. Choose a soft fiber blend with a relaxed twist for optimal results. To learn more about the design process of See the Sea, read the blog.
