size 7US (4.5 mm) circular needle for skirt body (or size to obtain correct gauge)
size 5US (3.75 mm) circular needle for waistband and hem (or .75 mm smaller than gauge needle)
Note: multiple needle lengths may be needed or skirt may be worked on two circular needles if desired
