Suggested Yarns:

Confection Sport, Targhee Tango Sport, Modern Deco Sport, Finn Dandy 3-ply Sport, Shetlandia Sport, or any smooth DK or fingering yarn which has a relaxed hand and drape. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, and yardage requirement.

Finished Size:

(blocked): Shawl: 19” W X 84” L; Scarf: 12” W X 64” L

Yarn Requirements:

Shawl: 900 yards; Scarf: 450 yards

Gauge:

16 sts and 24 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch (unblocked)

Needles:

Size US8 (5mm) or size to obtain correct gauge, needles one size smaller than the body needles will be needed for garter edging
