Suggested Yarns:
Modern Deco Lace, Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, Kent Lace, Dragonfly Fibers Fingering Dance Rustic Silk Endive, or any sock yarn that knits to 8 sts per inch. A springy yarn with a higher twist is recommended to help sock keep its shape. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, and yardage requirement.
Finished Size:
8” sock circumference to fit feet up to 9” around. Sock may be made smaller or larger by using finer or heavier yarn and/or changing needle size.
Yarn Requirements:
approximately 380 yards of sock yarn for an average female size (actual yardage will depend on sock length desired)
Gauge:
32 sts and 48 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch (fabric will be firm)
Note: row gauge is fairly important as it will affect the pattern placement on the foot
Needles:
DPNs size US1 (2.25 mm) or size to obtain gauge
