LOVe Shawlette

A pretty triangle scarf or shawlette in three sizes (scarf/petite shawl/tall shawl), worked from hem to neck, bordered by a deep expanse of lily-of-the-valley motifs. The easy-to-work stitch patterns and simplicity of construction make this piece a great first shawl project, or a fun weekend traveler for experienced knitters. This piece knits up quickly in soft fingering yarn for a beautiful accessory layer or last-minute gift.

Bare Naked Wools Cabécou Sport, Better Breakfast Fingering, Modern Deco Sport, Modern Deco Lace, Shetlandia Sport, Finn Dandy 3-ply Sport, or any soft, drapey fingering yarn with approximately 200 yds per 2 ounces. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size. 

Finished Size:

17(22, 27) inches long at center back and 42(56, 68) inches across top edge (stretched and blocked)

300(450, 600) yards

Gauge:

24 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette (unblocked; fabric will be relaxed)

Needles:

size 3US (3.25 mm) circular needle (or size to obtain correct gauge)
DPNs same size for final join (optional)
