Lilac Season

Airy as a spring breeze, this lacy triangle in three sizes (petite/medium/tall) is knit from the neck down in simple openwork motifs that end in a scalloping hem. With WS rows mostly in purl, this project is a cool and easy summer companion. The result is a surefire show-off at pool-side or patio get-togethers in warm weather and a beautiful accent for a smart suit or overcoat when winter rolls around again.

Gauge: 
24 sts and 35 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette stitch (washed and air-dried without stretching)

Needles: 
size 4US (3.5mm) circular needle (or size to obtain correct gauge); DPNs same size to graft final join (optional)
