Hayrick Sock

A fabric with a cabled look, but no cables and a little openwork but no lace, makes this top-down sock in five sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) universally appealing. Featuring an easy to memorize pattern with lots of textural interest, this project travels well and knits up quickly into a sleek, lightweight sock suitable for casual or dress wear.

Suggested Yarns:
Better Breakfast Fingering, Stone Soup Fingering, Modern Deco Sport, or any springy sock yarn with approximately 400 yards per 4 ounces.

Substituting needles and/or yarn may result in an overall variation in size.

Finished Size:
6.75(8, 9, 10, 11.25) inches in circumference, to fit feet measuring up to 8(9, 10, 11, 12) inches around

275(325, 375, 425, 475) yds

Gauge:
32 sts and 48 rows = 4” in stockinette

Needles:
DPNs size US1 (2.25mm), or size to obtain correct gauge.
