December is a magical month of celebration, anticipation, and traditions. I can never decide what I like better – the quiet and cozy nights spent at home, or the joyful evenings spent at the house of a loved one, sharing in their festivities. Either way, I love having a good pair of slippers with me! Glad Tidings Slippers celebrate the fun and the nostalgia of the season in a cozy and stylish way. These slippers are a classic unisex Scandinavian style that are quick to knit and delightful to wear.
Glad Tidings Slippers are knit in the round from heel to toe. Scrap yarn is used to enable continuous knitting, and then later removed to provide the opening for the ankle gap. Stitches are then picked up on either side of the gap to knit the ankle and cuff.
Sample is shown in Bare Naked Wools Festivus 9.0 worsted, in Flannel (red) and Snowflake (white).
