Champlain Pupover

Have a furry family member who needs an extra layer to stay cozy when the north winds howl? Here’s a fun-to-knit design that is handsome and very wearable, whether out on a walk or lounging about the house. Knit in natural shades of breathable wool that discourage bacteria and odor, this pullover is available in ten sizes—five for petite pets and five for tall, from chest 12 to 39 inches / 30.5 to 99 cm—to knit in heavy DK or light worsted yarns.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size, drape, and yardage requirement.

Note: sizes are displayed in two groups for petite pets (teacup, toy, miniature, cat, under 20 lbs.) and regular sized pets [20 lbs. and up]—(PXXS, PXS, PS, PM, PL)[RS, RM, RL, RXL, RXXL]. Choose size by neck and chest circumference as the lengths are easily altered throughout for a custom fit.

Note: Yardages are offered for the color combinations shown in the sample garments; color combinations are easily altered as desired, but this may change the yardage requirements.

Gauge:
20 sts and 30 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in rib pattern on gauge needles (blocked)
22 sts and 34 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in yoke pattern on gauge needles (knit flat and blocked)

Needles:
size 7US(4.5 mm) circular needles and DPNs (or size to obtain correct gauge)
size 5US(3.75 mm) circular needles / DPNs for ribbing (or .75 mm smaller than gauge needle)
